Foiano della Chiana is a small agricultural town in eastern Tuscany, in the province of Arezzo, between the cities of Sinalunga and Cortona. Foiano is located in the middle of Italy, near Arezzo, Siena, Florence and Perugia.
The country boasts ancient origins, Etruscan and among the personalities are the Della Robbia works: “Madonna della Cintola ” in the Collegiate Church of San Martino, the “Madonna and child” in the Church of Sant’Eufemia, “Ascension” in the Church of San Domenico and the core said some “Holy women” and the “Christ surrounded by angels” in the Church of San Francesco.
Foiano has etruscan origin, ancient and rich history and is well known for its annual carnival, the most ancient of the Italian carnivals.
